Payout schedules

Rootline pays out the balance of an account to its bank account daily, weekly or monthly. The payout schedule of the account decides on which day a payment reaches the bank account.

The schedules

SchedulePayout dayPayments included
DailyEvery business dayPayments from 2 business days earlier
WeeklyEvery WednesdayPayments from Monday up to and including Sunday of the week before
MonthlyThe 3rd of each monthPayments of the month before

Business days are Monday to Friday. Banking holidays are not business days. If a payout day is not a business day, the payout moves to the next business day.

Daily

The daily schedule pays out a payment 2 business days after the payment.

Payment onPaid out on
MondayWednesday
TuesdayThursday
WednesdayFriday
ThursdayMonday
Friday, Saturday or SundayTuesday

Payments from Friday, Saturday and Sunday are combined into one payout on Tuesday.

Weekly

The weekly schedule pays out once a week, on Wednesday. Each payout includes all payments from Monday up to and including Sunday of the week before.

For example, all payments from Monday 2 November up to and including Sunday 8 November 2026 are paid out on Wednesday 11 November 2026.

Monthly

The monthly schedule pays out once a month, on the 3rd of the next month. If the 3rd is not a business day, the payout waits until the next business day.

For example, all payments from September 2026 are paid out on 3 October 2026. That is a Saturday, so the payout moves to the next business day, Monday 5 October 2026.

Which schedule an account gets

Each platform has a default payout schedule. Rootline applies it to each new account when the account is activated. Ask your Rootline contact which default applies to your platform.

You can delay the release of funds for a single payment with release_funds_at. Refer to Dynamic funds release.

See the schedule of an account

Open the account in the Rootline Dashboard. The Account balance section shows:

  • The Payout schedule of the account, for example "Business daily".
  • The Next run, which is the date and time of the next payout.

The same page lists the payouts the account received.

note

The payout schedule shows only after the account has processed its first payments. An account without payments has a payout schedule, but the Dashboard does not show it yet.

Change the schedule of an account

An adjustment to the payout schedule can be requested through the onboarding link of the company. The link stays the same during the full lifecycle of the company. Refer to Updating information while verified.

Rootline does not apply a change immediately. Rootline first asks the platform to confirm that the change is intended.
