MyBank is a pan-European e-authorization payment solution that enables secure online transactions directly from customers' bank accounts. Operating as an overlay banking system, MyBank allows customers to use their familiar online banking credentials to authorize payments and identity verification without sharing financial details with merchants. This system provides immediate payment confirmation, reduces fraud risk, and supports cross-border transactions across multiple European countries. MyBank is particularly popular in Italy and is expanding throughout the SEPA (Single Euro Payments Area) region.

The API will return a next_action object with a checkout_url. This url leads your customer to the Rootline checkout page, where they can select their payment method and further payment details.

Forwarding your customer through the checkout url

Request a redirect to your customer's bank by calling (/GET) the checkout_url that Rootline provides.

Seamless redirect from your website to MyBank

The custom integration allows you to redirect a customer from your page to MyBank, without visibly interacting with Rootline's checkout pages. Payment method selection can be done in your own page. In addition to the /POST request above, to indicate that this is an MyBank payment, provide MyBank as the value for the payment_rails.payment_method field to indicate that MyBank is the chosen payment method:
